Cute clothespin planter and candle holder

Here is a really smart idea for making stylish planters and candle holders from very simple things. Besides it’s also a recycling project. To make one planter or one candle holder you’ll need a used fish can, several clothespins, construction paper and a small plant or a candle.

All you need to do is to clip clothespins all the way around the rim of the can. Place your plant or candle inside and decorate the planter or the candle holder with something you cut from the construction paper. For example you can cut hearts and tuck them in between clothespins. Depending on the time of the year you can change these decorations.

  1. Clayton Cowherd says:

Although electric lighting has phased out candles in many parts of the world, candlesticks and candelabra are still used in some Western countries homes as a decorative element or to add atmosphere on special occasions. Before the proliferation of electricity services, candles were brought into the bedroom using chambersticks, which were shorter than ordinary candleholders and furnished with a wide pan to catch the wax drippings.*
