Two upholstered birch stools, dressed differently to show the variety that can be achieved from the same initial form. They act as a small seating solution for those who want to entertain friends, but have limited space for extra seating.
The sketches evolved into a form that could be created using a vacuum bag, a large bandsaw, and a series of jigs. The final stool is made up of four identical pieces which can be slotted together and secured with two cam connectors, locking the wood with a simple half-turn of a screw driver.
